I was looking for a new foundation and wanted to try something that I haven’t used before. When I think of Bobbi Brown, the term ‘luxury brand’ springs to mind. I have only ever used two other Bobbi Brown products before and that was their ‘Ballet Pink’ lip liner (which I still use and love) and their Sheer Finish Pressed Powder (which kept my foundation on all night). So I decided to try out their award winning ‘Luminous Moisturizing Foundation’.
So- tried and tested and it’s safe to say this gorgeous moisturising foundation has to be one of my favorites. I have quite dry skin, so I have to carefully choose my foundations otherwise my skin completely dries out! I always try and use a primer before applying foundation and tend not to use powder unless i’m on a night out and need that extra coverage. However with this foundation I rarely had to use a primer because its so ‘dewy’ and leaves such a natural glow to the skin just using the liquid alone. I try to stay away from matte foundations, as I just don’t like the look they leave on my skin, but if your looking for a super moisturising and luminous foundation then this is definitely the foundation for you! It’s so natural and it goes on to the skin really smooth with a light liquid texture. The shade i’m using below is the ‘Warm Ivory’, which is perfect for an everyday look and can also be worn out at night maybe topped up with a powder or a bronzer. In the picture below I literally moisturised and put the foundation straight on without using any primers etc, and I think it turned out to be pretty flawless! Only a small bit of this foundation needs to be applied at a time (always a bonus), and it lasts for ages! This moisturising foundation is so natural, even toned and flexible as its perfect with a smokey eye, or just a bare look like I have below. This leaves your skin looking so refined and you will be glowing!
This wonderful foundation comes in 20 different shades and costs €39.50 (pricey I know) and can be purchased in Irish stores such as Brown Thomas and other Bobbi Brown counters, however I bought it in duty free in the airport and got it for just €32.85. You can also buy it on online HERE! I always like to spend my money on a good foundation, particularly if its just for nights out and special occasions. I always think if it’s good, then its worth it as it is your face after all. This one definitely rates high in my books. I Recommend this to anyone who likes a ‘dewy’ and glowy foundation! Remember to pick the right shade for your skin.
