A Change in Seasons – Bright Idea’s

By Stephanie O’Quigley

We are currently very much on our way to what is expected to be the coldest months of the year. We are on the verge of the Christmas season and all we can think about is thick woolies, tights, boots  and scarfs. But let us not get too ahead of ourselves. Let us relish what is now, the present Autumn season.

All those flimsy summer skirts and dresses have been locked away or put up on the top shelf. All you have left really is a few pairs of ‘skinnies’ and that reliable ‘all-rounder’ coat that has carried you from the Celtic Tiger to, well, whatever era we call this.  I think its time for a change, don’t you?

I flew in and out of high street stores last week in an effort to spruce up my A/W wardrobe, only to be led to the assumption that every high street store has the same supplier. Why is it that when we want to emphasize our own sense of style we end up looking just like everyone else. “Its not what you wear, its how you wear it” right? Hmmm, I think I’m second guessing that one.

Below I have put together a collaboration of ‘hard to find’ styles for the party season that lies ahead of us and some every day wear to keep us warm, we do practical fashion too you know! Unfortunately, those pastel shaded dresses and blouses will not carry you into the A/W season. It might just be the right time to invest in a heavier coat and a splash of Cobalt Blue colour that is ever so ‘in’ right now.

All available at Divine Boutique.
