Readers Request – What are these MAC lipstick shades?

By Stephanie O’Quigley.

A while ago I uploaded this picture of these fab range of MAC lipstick colours and a few of you were asking what the names of them where. I’ve done a bit of research and this is what I’ve came back with…

This one is Night Violet, looks very similar to the darker purple in the picture above. Very gothic and on trend, I love it. I think any skin tone can work this colour but it would be especially complimentary on olive skin tones in my opinion!

This is Angel lipstick which is my closest match to the pinky sheer one on the left. I think this teamed with a heavier eye make-up look would be best as the lipstick is very soft. Hence the name Angel! This could also be used for an everyday casual make-up look.

This is a very light nude colour from MAC. They have sooo many different nudes, I have a few but its hard to get it right. With pale colours, its important that your lips aren’t dry because the colour will look all cracked and chapped on your lips. Slick a bit of lip balm on beforehand and this will ensure the colour goes on smoothly. This one above is the best match I could find and its called Myth.

Just because I love these colours and they are so popular right now, here is some others in the dark purples and red family –

This is MAC lipstick in Runaway Red.

This is Smoked Purple.

This is Prince Noir.

And this colour is the very popular Rebel.

These  deep purples and reds are all the rage right now. These colours are definitely being Snapped Up! Enjoy ladies and do let me know if you have any further additions 🙂
